The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) is the Federal Government's lead agency for scientific research on complementary and integrative health approaches. We are 1 of the 27 institutes and centers that make up the National Institutes of Health (NIH) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The mission of NCCIH is to define, through rigorous scientific investigation, the usefulness and safety of complementary and integrative health interventions and their roles in improving health and health care.

ARRC is a specialist resource for acupuncture research information. It is funded by the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) It was established in 1994 by the BAcC in partnership with the Foundation for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a research charity.
